A newer version of Photo+Map 1.2 has been submitted to the AppStore last evening. The new version is the first step in adding a new set of features to the application. In addition Photo+Map is now requiring OS 3.0.
The first main addition is the ability to email directly a photo+map from the application at its full resolution. Since the previous release 1.1 added the support for the iPhone 3GS 3 mega pixel, it means that you will be able to email a 2048x2048 photo when using a 3GS. For other iPhone (3G/Edge) the max resolution is 1600x1600.
The second feature added is on the extra information added on the photo : Photo+Map 1.2 is now using the geo-reverse location web services from Google to try to find the closest address where the photo was made. Keep in mind that the address returned by Google will be an approximate address depending on how accurate the geo-location co-ordinate returned by the GPS.
The application has been submitted, so it is now a matter of days -hopefully- for the Apple Review Team to approve the update.
